Deemed University (AAI-DU)

AAI-DU being a State Govt. funded/aided Deemed University, has sought and acquired NOC/permission of the State Government of U.P. to start Distance Education Programme, vide G.O. No. 1630/12-2002-900(9/) 2001 dated Feb. 2002.

For the purpose of conducting Distance Education programmes, the AAIDU shall establish a Directorate of Distance Education (DDE).

The DDE shall open its own Distance Education Study Centres (DESC) in various parts of the Country and abroad in order to run programmes in various fields such as; Agricultural Information Systems, Agri-Business Management, information Technology, Business Studies, Education and Allied Health Sciences and other programmes as per needs of the community.

The University shall run these programmes through DDE as per the guidelines of UGC laid down in the regard for all University vide DO letter No. F.1-52/99 (CPP-II) dated 4th Aug. 2001.

Each DESC shall be headed by a Coordinator appointed by the AAI-DU.

COMPOSITION OF DIRECTORATE OF DISTANCE EDUCATION (DDE)

  The composition of the DDE shall be as follows:-

Chairman                                            Vice-Chancellor, AAI-DU.

Vice-Chairman & Secretary                  Director (DE), AAI-DU

Joint Secretary                                    Co-coordinator, DDE

Dy. Secretary Education                      Dy/Asstt. Registrar, Distance
